A stunning jump-off performance from RED MILLS and Foran Equine rider Bertram Allen and the 11-year-old stallion GK Casper, seen them take victory in Friday’s feature competition at the five-star Global Champions Tour show in Doha, Qatar.

With 16 combinations making it through fault free to the second round, the jump-off was always going to be very competitive and at the finish, Allen had to be at his brilliant best to take the win. A scorching clear round in 33.75 seconds saw him take the top prize of €36,450, outpacing a top class field.

Belgium’s Karel Cox and Dublin van Overis finsied as runners-up in 34.07, while French rider Julien Epaillard and Usual Suspect d’Auge finished third in 34.12. RED MILLS rider Yuri Mansur and Carlos finished in 8th place with a time of 36.26.

Fellow RED MILLS rider Edwina Tops-Alexander also had a successful start to the LGCT with a 6th pace finish in the Grand Prix in Doha with California.

The Global Champions League also got underway for the 2019 season. Victory went the way of the Monaco Aces team of RED MILLS and Foran Equine Rider Marlon Modólo Zanotelli and Jos Verlooy. The Aces duo of Jos Verlooy and Marlon Modolo Zanotelli, teaming up for the first time after transferring from other teams, were almost three seconds faster than Hamburg Giants in second position.

At the Sunshine Tour, RED MILLS Rider Harriet Nuttall and A Touch Imperious posted an impressive clear and 3rd place in the world ranking class.

RED MILLS Rider Billy Twomey and Lady Lou were also on good form placing in 5th place in the CSI4* Grand Prix in Vejer De La Frontera.
