Driven by the success of Irish horsemen and horsewomen, jockeys and trainers, Liam Connolly and his eldest sons Bill and Joe exported their first load of equine feed to the United Kingdom in the month of May, 1985. Followed by the great success the RED MILLS brand experienced, the expansion into continental Europe occurred in 1993.

This culture is what led to our expansion within the American market in 1998, Far East Asia in 2004 and the Middle East in 2007. We have branch companies in Dubai, Japan and the USA, with sales offices located in India, China, France and Korea. Connolly’s RED MILLS has been supplying Ireland with our reputable horse feeds since 1967. Liam Connolly and his 2 sons Bill and Joe first exported a load of equine feed to the United Kingdom in 1985. Exporting to continental Europe followed in 1993, with our roots expanding across most of Europe over time due to our culture of quality, hard work, consistency and innovation as we continue to meet the needs of our customers today.
Asia
2005 saw RED MILLS become the first company in the equine feed industry to secure a landmark Chinese licence that allowed us to export horse feed within the region. Due to its ability to maintain product freshness and resist humidity, our breakthrough NFMS packaging technology secured a growing customer base which then experienced further growth within Far East Asia. We continue to supply leading stables ranging from Tokyo to Beijing, with dedicated sales offices located in Korea, China and India to ensure we can provide our customers in the region with the feed of champions.
US/Canada/Mexico
Connolly’s RED MILLS expanded into the United States market in 1997. This rapid expansion includes some of the biggest US states and stretches into the Canadian region. Today, we have a company sales and branch office situated in the USA to ensure our customers in these areas have direct access to technical and product support.
Gulf & Middle East
2007 was the year that RED MILLS grew its global footprint by expanding into Dubai and the larger Middle Eastern region. Serviced through our Freezone entity called RED MILLS INTERNATIONAL, our local distributors and their subsidiaries service our customers in the region.
