The last week has seen an incredible amount of racing action from around the world with some great results for RED MILLS customers.

We were delighted to be able to play our part in making sure feed landed on time for these horses at venues around the world and that their diet remained consistent. Horses are resilient and most are accustomed to the travel but to maintain good health and performance it is essential that their nutritional needs are looked after.

Our unique Nutrient Fresh Management System packaging means that the feed also travels well and when opened by our customer all over the world, it is as fresh as the day it was made in Goresbridge.

Melbourne Cup

The action kicked off last Tuesday with the world famous Melbourne Cup where Joseph O’Brien won it for the second time with Twilight Payment.

Queen Elizabeth Stakes

On Saturday for the second year in succession the Willie Mullins trained True Self won the Group 3 Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Flemington.

All eyes then switched to Keeneland in Kentucky for the 2020 Breeders Cup.

Glass Slippers gave Europe a first ever victory in the Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint when striking for Kevin Ryan. Ryan’s only other Breeders’ Cup runner, East, was second to Newspaperofrecord in the Juvenile Fillies’ Turf in 2018.

Breeders’ Cup Turf

Tarnawa then completed a memorable day at the races for European stables, as Colin Keane brought the Dermot Weld filly with a perfectly timed run to win the Breeders’ Cup Turf. Tarnawa had recently won the Group One Prix Vermeille at Longchamp and victory gave trainer Dermot Weld a first Breeders’ Cup victory in his 17th start.

November Handicap

Closer to home we saw Noel Meade end a successful 2020 flat season with victory in the November Handicap at Naas on Saturday with De Name Escapes Me.

Wincanton

On Saturday in the UK we also saw Ga Law trained by Jamie Snowden and Sceau Royale trained by Alan King claim Grade 2 wins at Wincanton.

Troytown Chase

The Jam Man then concluded the action on Sunday evening with an impressive victory in the Troytown Chase at Navan. It’s been an excellent campaign for owner/trainer Ronan McNally, having also trained both The Trigger and Dreal Deal to win five races in a row since July
