RED MILLS team member Kirsty Durham had extra reason to cheer PYLEDRIVER home in today’s King Edward VII Stakes (Group 2) at Royal Ascot having foaled the son of  Harbour Watch (IRE) out of  La Pyle while working  at Usk Valley Stud.

For any trainer and owner to have a runner, let alone a winner at Royal Ascot, always makes for a unforgettable day!

Personally, it was a hugely exciting win for me as I was able to foal La Pyle, PYLEDRIVER’s Dam while at Usk Valley Stud, and be a small part of his first few months in this world.

Today becomes very special, as you never know what these foals may go on to achieve.

Now to be able to support William Muir and his team in my role as their representative for a Connolly’s RED MILLS, I feel very lucky to be able to see full circle, of what anyone who works within the breeding industry hopes to see one day and that’s a Royal Ascot group winner.

Huge congratulations to PYLEDRIVER’s owner-breeders Knox &Wells limited & Robert Devlin and also to William Muir and all the team at home.
