With the Dublin Horse Show just around the corner we thought we’d take a look back at the story of De Kobdashian
Jodie Moran’s De Kobdashian was 3rd in the Heavy Weight Cob class at the Dublin Horse Show in 2017 but it wasn’t until we met Jodie that we learned how special was this result.
It was the last day of the show and Jodie called on to the RED MILLS stand, we got chatting about the weeks results and her horses. It was then that Jodie showed us the before and after photos of Elsa, (De Kobdashian) her heavy weight cob and we got hear about their incredible story.

Jodie spotted Elsa after going to view another cob.
“I saw her head out over a door & I just loved something about her, we brought her home with us that evening & began feeding her Connolly’s RED MILLS. We began to break her in October & changed her over to the RED MILLS Conditioning mix, she has gone from strength to strength winning two of her four days out this year as a four year old (2017) & was 3rd Friday evening in the heavyweight cobs.”
The transformation that De Kobdashian made under Jodie’s care was phenomenal and with the permission of Jodie we shared the photos which then went viral. Huge credit to Jodie for spotting the potential and putting the hard work in, but we can all agree it was worth it.
Jodie and De Kobdashian, Elsa as she is known to everyone at home have had another successful build up to the Dublin Horse Show this year with great results including being crowned Champion of the Show at Ossory Agricultural Show.
