Exciting times for the Bleahen Brothers

The Bleahen brothers’ Lakefield Farm, Liss House & Clifton Farm are producers of top class NH stores. Past graduates include Sizing John, Sizing Europe, Sub Lieutenant and Hardline to name just a few.

Mark Bleahen along with his sons Niall, John and Hugh and all of the family have made a huge contribution to the thoroughbred industry over the years. In 2016 the Bleahens topped the Goffs Land Rover and Tattersalls Ireland Derby Sales, and in 2015 they also topped the Derby Sale with a €320,000 son of Robin Des Champs.

This year they head to the Tattersalls Ireland Derby Sale with another quality bunch of horses having already had successful visits to the Goffs UK and Goffs Ireland Land Rover sales where they were once again amongst the top consigners.

In total they send 16 horses to this years Derby Sale with some of the standouts including Lot 100 by Yorgunnabelucky, Out of 5-time winning dam Alikat & a half-brother to Gr1 Champion Bumper winner The Liquidator and Lot 146 a Fame and Glory gelding with Grade 2 winner Birchdale, in his first dam.
