We’ve partnered with Horse & Rider Magazine to bring you a training series with RED MILLS eventing brand ambassador Tina Cook.

Born into horses, Tina has a wealth of experience at major championships. As a mainstay of the British team she’s won three Olympic medals, three World Championship medals, five team European Championship medals and was European Champion in 2009!

In the second of the three-part series with Horse & Rider Tina explains how to make cross-country schooling productive and positive. As cross-country is a test of bravery, the main goal in training must be to give positive experiences all the time to instil courage and acceptance. The article includes how to tackle ditches and water as well as helpful guidance on creating the correct canter and what to do if your horse has a stop at a fence.

Buy Part 2 of the training series in store or through the Horse & Rider website with free postage and packaging – www.horseandrideruk.com/shop

Part 3, and the last part in the series, focuses on jumping exercises to create an adjustable horse which is on sale on 4th April.
