Three day’s of top class International show jumping gets underway tomorrow in Belfast, as the 147th annual Balmoral Show begins, welcoming visitors to Balmoral Park.

One of the highlights of the two-star international will be Thursday’s Connolly’s RED MILLS International Spectacular at 2.30pm, which features a 1.45m competition with jump-off against the clock and carries a prize fund of over €5,500.

Balmoral Show will see some of the top and up-and-coming young riders from Ireland, Britain and across the world, compete head to head. Countries including Egypt, Canada, Thailand, Great Britain and Ireland, will create a truly International field of show jumpers who are sure to provide three days of nail biting competition.

The overall prize fund for the BalmoraI International Show Jumping event stands at over €50,000, with the Balmoral Grand Prix taking place on Friday.

Ireland’s Alexander Butler will be back to defend his 2013 and 2014 title, along with top riders that include Geoff Billington (GBR), Greg Broderick (IRL), Daniel Coyle (IRL) and Connolly’s RED MILLS Ambassador Dermott Lennon.
