Connolly’s RED MILLS, together with our sister brands Foran Equine and Carr & Day & Martin are delighted to be the Official Nutrition and Care partners to Millstreet International Horse Trials which takes place this week at the picturesque Green Glens Arena and neighbouring Drishane Castle.
Ahead of Millstreet we visited RED MILLS Rider and reigning winner of the RED MILLS CCI3*-S at Millstreet 2 – Gillian Beale King at the beautiful Belline Estate owned by Richard Ames.
It was with Chance Encounter VII (Harry) owned by Richard Ames, who Gillian topped the podium with in August and this time returns to Millstreet with 3 horses in the CCI3*-L while Harry will be aimed at Millstreet 2 later in the year.
Gillian Beale King, RED MILLS, Foran Equine, and Carr & Day & Martin rider said; “It will be a very exciting week for our team. Millstreet is a beautiful venue and the courses are just absolutely spectacular between the showjumping and cross country is really something. Hopefully it will be a great week, fingers crossed!
I began using RED MILLS feed just over a year ago when I moved to Ireland, that was the existing feed brand here at Belline Estate owned by Richard Ames.
I immediately fell in love with the RED MILLS feed. The true test of a feed is how horses maintain their condition throughout the season but also how they come out of the winter. For them to have eaten their RED MILLS grain and Foran Equine supplements throughout the winter and to have come into the spring in such great condition is fantastic.
I have really fell in love with the RED MILLS Feed and Foran Equine supplements. Along with the Carr & Day & Martin products which keep us looking fabulous. We are very lucky to be partnered with all three companies. We run a large yard and it is very busy here. The simplicity of dealing with all 3 companies under the one roof is exceptionally helpful and they are just fabulous products.”
Dressage gets underway this Thursday including the Connolly’s RED MILLS CCI4*-S and the Foran Equine CCI3*-S take place on Thursday. The Carr & Day & Martin CCI1* Intro gets underway on Friday.
There will also be tough competition for the Best-Turned-Out prize at the trot-ups. The BTO is sponsored by Carr & Day & Martin – Global Leaders in Equine Care. The lucky winner of each BTO will receive a prize pack from Carr & Day & Martin.
Action-packed days of cross-country takes place on Saturday and Sunday with showjumping on both days also. The event has attracted a field of top-class entries from across the globe including RED MILLS Riders Sam Watson, Camilla Speirs, Alex Bragg, Gillian Beale King, Ian Cassells and Esib Power.
Gareth Connolly, CEO Connolly’s RED MILLS, Foran Equine, and Carr & Day & Martin, said; “We enjoy a great partnership with the team at Millstreet and are looking forward to the event this weekend.
At Connolly’s RED MILLS, Foran Equine and Carr & Day & Martin we are passionate about producing quality feed, supplement, and care products designed to support the high-performance horse and to be able to support our customers through these events means a lot to us.
