Global equine nutrition company Connolly’s RED MILLS welcome event rider Lissa Green to their team of RED MILLS Riders.

The daughter of Olympic event riders Lucinda and David Green, Lissa has been riding professionally since 2012. After initially keeping horses as her hobby, the love of the sport pulled her back and she set up her own yard in 2014. Based in the south west of the UK, she now rides for Australia, her father’s homeland, having changed nationality in 2018.

In her professional career, Lissa has worked with some challenging horses, appreciating the learning opportunities and experience this has given her. Her Badminton debut in 2017 was aboard Malin Head Clover.

After a fall in late 2018, Lissa discovered that she had been suffering concussion which put a hold on the majority of the 2019 season. However, she has big plans for the 2020 season, which she’s already got underway with some showjumping experience on the Sunshine Tour.

Lissa said: “I feel very spoilt to be a part of Team Red Mills; I have had huge compliments about how my horses look. I have had great feedback from my vet, owners and trainers on their muscle, condition and coat. It has honestly transformed my horses and we haven’t even started competing yet. After a frustrating 2019, I’m ready to crack on and see what 2020 has to bring.”

UK Head of Equine, Louise Jones, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Lissa to the RED MILLS rider team. We are proud to support Lissa and provide her with the ultimate nutritional support to ensure her horses can perform to their best.”

Lissa Green is the latest signing to a strong squad of RED MILLS riders in eventing, including Tina Cook, Alex Bragg, Austin O’Connor, Sam Watson, Beanie Sturgis, Lauren Blades and Charlotte Bacon.
