Mrs. Julia Gray is part of the export technical team at Connolly’s RED MILLS, broadly servicing the racing and performance horse industry in Europe and Asia since joining Connolly’s RED MILLS in 2009.

Graduating top of her class from the highly respected University of Limerick in 2007 with a degree in Equine Science, Julia then completed a Masters of Science degree in the area of equine exercise immunology. She has also worked with veterinarians on the U.S. racing circuit in Del Mar and studied at the University of Arizona’s racetrack industry programme.

Part of the Connolly’s RED MILLS export technical support team, Julia has deep expertise in the sport horse and racing sectors. Working extensively with riders, trainers and breeders across our global markets, Julia has played a central role in equine diet optimisation. She has worked on furthering education on the subject of equine nutrition in the industry and is now focusing on providing back-office technical support. A native German speaker, Julia has been a key player in the development of the German market and local sales.

Working closely with the Connolly’s RED MILLS Research and Development team, Julia has been a key contributor to product development and localisation of equine performance diets. Amongst other topics of key concern to the equine performance industry, Julia has worked on nutritional solutions for gastric ulcers and tying up in racehorses, and optimal carbohydrate digestibility studies in equines.
