Lorraine Fradl

Nutritional Expert at Connolly’s Red Mills

user
Qualification: B.Agr.Sc. (Hons)
Area of Expertise: Senior Equine Nutritionist
Market: Ireland

Lorraine joined the Connolly’s RED MILLS team in 2016 with a focus on technical support in export markets, including Europe and the Middle East. Lorraine’s current sole focus is on the Irish home market where she spends her time supporting customers with technical queries and advice, product selection, forage analysis, and nutrition planning. Alongside her colleagues, Lorraine also plays a role in new product development, technical marketing, and nutritional research topics.

Before joining RED MILLS and following her qualification from Animal Science Equine at the University College Dublin, Lorraine worked with major international thoroughbred stud farms and showjumping stables which helped her to gain an understanding of the challenges faced by breeders, trainers and owners.

“My job at RED MILLS and Foran Equine allows me to use my scientific knowledge and apply it in practical situations to support the well-being of horses and ensure the highest level of nutrition is achieved. It’s always rewarding getting to know our customers’ horses and to see their horses physically improve and perform well after making changes to the diet.”

Outside of work, Lorraine spends her time with her family and her own horses – a mixture of riding horses, racehorses, broodmares, and youngstock.
