Biography

Alex Bragg

Having grown up with horses, Alex enjoyed success as a child in Pony Club mounted games before concentrating on showjumping. At 16, he took a break from riding but continued working with horses, training to become a registered farrier. He qualified with distinction and started his own shoeing business, which is how he met his wife Simmone.

It was with Simmone that he had his first insight into eventing. He then began riding and competing again when Simmone was pregnant with their first daughter. With several top 5 placings at 5-star and many podium finishes at 4-star, Alex has successfully competed on Team GBR Nations Cup teams, as well as being reserve for the European Championships in 2017 and 2019.

Every prize-giving delivers an almighty buzz, not just for me but for the horse owners and our whole team. We are fortunate to have experienced many at big international events.

All of my horses are fed on the Horse Care Range. I really like the Horse Care Ultra Cubes because it gives them the energy they need in a low-starch feed so they can perform at their best.
