RED MILLS & Foran Equine Leaderboard – May 2026 British Point-to-Point
As the 2025/26 point-to-point season charges towards its thrilling conclusion, the race for the Connolly’s RED MILLS National Championships is reaching a fever pitch. With just weeks remaining until the finale on Monday 25th May, three fiercely contested titles remain very much up for grabs and the competition could hardly be tighter.
Foran Equine Leading Trainer (6–14 Horses)
In the closely fought 6–14 horses category, Dale Peters currently holds the advantage with an impressive 17 winners on the board. However, the pressure is mounting, with Luke Price breathing down his neck on 16 winners.
With such a narrow margin separating the top two, every runner could prove decisive in the final weeks. Dale Peters is having a standout seasons, but we all know Luke Price comes into his own this time in the season.
Foran Equine Leading Trainer (15+ Horses)
The larger yard division is delivering just as much drama. Gina Andrews leads the standings on a remarkable 39 winners, showcasing exceptional consistency and dominance throughout the season.
But the title is far from secure. Last year’s champion, Josh Newman, is right on her heels with 38 winners, while Chris Barber remains firmly in contention on 36. With multiple meetings still to come, this three-way battle is set to go right down to the wire.
Connolly’s RED MILLS Champion Horse
If the trainer championships are tight, the race for Connolly’s RED MILLS Champion Horse is nothing short of extraordinary.
No fewer than five horses currently share the lead on five wins apiece: Clonagoose, Couer d’Alene, Grace A Vous Enki, The Dancing Tree, and GB Pointing Bonus YHM winner Woodstock Octo.
With such parity at the top, the title could be decided by the smallest of margins. Every run between now and the end of the season carries huge significance not just for adding another win, but potentially for influencing the all-important countback.
All to Play For
With the championships set to conclude on Monday 25th May, the question remains: will we see clear-cut winners emerge, or will the titles be decided on countback, where second and third placings could prove crucial?
One thing is certain, the closing weeks of the season promise high drama, intense competition, and a fittingly exciting conclusion to what has been a fantastic year for point-to-point racing.
Stay tuned. The best may be yet to come.
