Racing enthusiasts from all over Ireland are expected to descend upon Gowran Park Racecourse on Thursday 23rd January for the time honoured race day. One of the flagship meetings of the Irish racing calendar the Goffs Thyestes Chase Day is widely recognised as one of the best days in Irish Racing.
Hot on the heals of Thyestes Day will be the RED MILLS Day on Saturday 15th February featuring both the RED MILLS Hurdle and RED MILLS Chase, both of which are now worth €60,000. Last year’s RED MILLS Chase winner Monalee will be heading straigt to Cheltenham for the GOLD CUP having showed a strong return to form in the Saville’s Chase at Leopardstown over Christmas.
At the 2020 racing launch at Gowran Park CEO of Connolly’s RED MILLS & Chairman of Gowran Park Racecourse, Joe Connolly said; “This year marks our 40th year as sponsors at Gowran Park racecourse.
We have made many wonderful memories, seen some dramatic changes and of course some incredible horses over these years. We are looking forward to Red Mills Day on 15th February.

Tickets bought online at GowranPark.ie will give prompt access to the track as they can be printed off or scanned on the phone. People who purchase online can avail of reduced ticket prices.
