Connolly’s RED MILLS are proud to sponsor the 2021 Eventing Ireland National Championships. The Championships are running from 11th – 12th September and are being held for the first time at Lisgarvan House in Co. Carlow. RED MILLS are generously supporting the EI120 and the class promises to be exciting as combinations compete for the final National honours of the year.
Following a successful season of national competition, this will be an exceptional two-day Championship for all levels from the grass roots EI90 to the professional EI120 class where top professional athletes will be competing including RED MILLS Riders Sam Watson and Esib Power. Gillian Beale-King fresh from victory in the RED MILLS CCI3*S at Millstreet will be in action in the RED MILLS EI120 class. Top contenders in the RED MILLS OBP league will also be out in force, including previous monthly winners Adam Haugh and Patrick Whelan
In order to qualify for the Championships, the horse and rider combination must have achieved a minimum of 3 qualifying completions at the level they wish to compete at. Full details regarding the National Championships, including entry fees can be found HERE.
Riders will complete the dressage and show jumping phases on the Saturday, whilst the final phase on Sunday is all about the cross country. The horse and rider combination with the lowest penalty score after the final phase in each class will be the winner, and the 2021 Eventing Ireland National Champion of that class.
